Project: To create a visual identify and set of graphics for Somerset House Summer Series to use across multiple different touchpoint as part of the event.

How we did this was by using the visual language of sound waves. A sound wave is the visual language of music. They are almost as unique as a fingerprint, in the sense that no two are the same. It’s like if you got Tom Jones to sing a Rick Astley song, the outcome of the sound waves recorded compared to the original track would be completely different.

These unique patterned lines also have a clear connection to the AMEX world service pattern. We used the style of the hard lined work from the WSP pattern to create a new graphic device.

The uniqueness of the visual language of sound waves ties within the the discreteness of the festival. Along with the visual ties to AMEX and the element of music relevance.

We generate a new graphic element from AMEX guidelines that visually represents music, which literally illustrates the subject matter.
